INTB 4410 – Operations of International Business
Monday/Wednesday 3:30-4:45

This course identifies and studies the implementation tools required of an international business from an inside-out perspective; what a manager or executive needs to know and do to succeed in foreign markets. Topics covered include: Global Capital Markets; Global Strategy, Structure, and Implementation; The Organization of international Business; Global Marketing; Global Supply Chain and Operations Management; International Accounting and Finance Issues; and International Human Resources Management. Interesting speakers will come in to share, discuss their professional experiences.

RISK 4709 – Life & Health Insurance
Monday/Wednesday 2:00-3:15

This course introduces students to life and health insurance concepts and policy types with an emphasis on insurance planning for individuals and businesses. The insurance industry and trends within it are also explored. Taught by Eric Reiner.

MGMT 4825 – Sustainable Change Leadership: Turning Business Into a Force for Good
Tuesdays 6:30-9:15

If you are looking to deepen your knowledge of sustainability, develop your leadership and change management skills, learn what it takes to transform a traditional business into a force for good and make an impact – this course is for you! Many business leaders face a major challenge: overcoming resistance to the idea that it’s possible for a business both to improve its environmental and social impact AND to deliver outstanding returns at the same time. You will learn how to overcome this challenge from business leaders who have worked with B Lab’s B Impact Assessment tools to change the way their companies operate and learn to be an effective agent for sustainable business change. (This course fulfills the experiential learning requirement)!

CMDT 4782 – Commodity Data Analysis
Thursdays 6:30-9:15

This course is an applied introduction to commodity data analysis. Students will learn how to analyze commodity prices using quantitative techniques. Relationships between commodities and the global economy will be investigated. In addition, commodities will be looked at as an asset class and cross-asset relationships will be studied. Students will be introduced to forecasting techniques and be able to develop and evaluate various forecasting models. Students will work with the open source R software environment throughout the course and gain proficiency.
